Join Nature Photography Adventures in Argentina and Brazil to photograph Iguazú Falls and improve your skills at waterfall and rainbow photography.

Iguazú Falls is one of the world’s largest waterfalls. It is an amazing natural wonder to see!

More importantly for photographers, it presents a huge array of compositional opportunities – from sweeping panoramas to stunning rainbows to individual crashing drops. It’s an outstanding photographic playground – and the perfect place to hone your photographic skills.

Iguazú Falls straddles the border between Argentina and Brazil, consisting of 275 separate waterfalls stretched along two miles of brink. Many of the individual falls are 200 to 270 feet high. There are great trails, on both sides of the border, to get us into great positions to create images.

Devil’s Throat, a 270 high U-shaped falls is the largest of the falls, and the most impressive.

We have planned our time at Iguazú Falls to maximize our abilities to both create great photography – and to work both individually and as a group on the waterfall photography skill sets that are possible with new camera technology.

Iguazú has the greatest annual flow of any waterfall in the world. That flow pulses, changing the nature of the individual falls, creating an ever-changing set of photographic opportunities.

Iguazú Falls sits in a quite interesting ecosystem, which provides many photographic opportunities beyond the falls themselves. We can expect to create images of toucans, coatimundi, countless butterflies, river turtles, other birdlife, and wonderful spider webs.

If you are serious about mastering the waterfall photography skillset that comes with photography’s new technologies, and would like to experience one of the truly great sets of waterfalls in the world, join us in Argentina and Brazil as we explore Iguazú Falls with cameras and tripods!

We have chosen Southern Explorations of Seattle, Washington to coordinate our 2013 Iguazú Falls Adventure. Our friend Breanne is a real pleasure to work with and has helped us make sure this adventure is truly designed for photography.

Itinerary and Prices coming soon

We’ll spend time lodging on both sides of the border to maximize access to the many vantage points each side has to offer for photography. Our lodgings have been chosen to enable us to get out to vantage points earlier and later than most people in the parks.

We set the dates for this adventure to enable us walk out to the brink of Devil’s Throat in full moonlight (weather permitting).

This adventure will begin and end in Buenos Aires, Argentina. We have built in time to explore some of the unique characteristics of this marvelous city!
